(Brodbecks) -- Authorities in central Pennsylvania say a reported explosion and two-alarm fire in York County has claimed the life of one person.

Deputy coroner Steve Cosey told the York Daily Record early Tuesday that one person was found dead after the Codorus Township blaze.

An autopsy is planned to determine the victim's identity and cause of death.

State police say fire crews were called to the address shortly before 9 p.m. Monday.

Cpl. Steven Wise said witnesses reported an explosion that made ``the ground shake.''

The victim's body was found in the rubble just after 2:30 a.m. Tuesday.

The cause of the blast and ensuing fire remains under investigation.
