(Grantville) -- A man is facing child endangerment charges after police say he left his four-year-old granddaughter to wander in a Dauphin County casino and race track as he gambled on horse races.

State police say 63-year-old Felix Cruz's granddaughter was left unsupervised for nearly an hour while Cruz gambled at the Hollywood Casino at Penn National Race Course on August 30th.

Cruz of Reading has been issued a summons charging him with endangering the welfare of a child.

A preliminary hearing is scheduled for October 28th.
