(Harrisburg) -- A state judge says she will approve a plan to help rescue the state's capital from the brink of bankruptcy.
Commonwealth Court Judge Bonnie Leadbetter made the remark Thursday after a two-hour hearing on the plan assembled by the state-appointed financial custodian for Harrisburg.
Court approval is required for the plan to take effect under a 2011 law that allowed an unprecedented state takeover of the troubled city.
She says the plan is ``the best chance I think this city has seen in a long time.''
