(Morgantown, WV) --  West Virginia and Penn State are renewing their football rivalry.

West Virginia athletic director Oliver Luck says the teams will meet in State College in 2023 and in Morgantown in 2024.

They last met in 1992. The series ended when Penn State moved to the Big Ten.

Luck says the series' renewal is great for both schools' fan bases.

Penn State leads the series 48-9-2 that dates back to 1904.
