Beyond the Bio: Jason Zubler

Written by Joe Ulrich | Sep 24, 2013 8:29 PM

The Green Urban Initiative is an organization focused on helping the residents of Harrisburg build more sustainable urban communities. Currently it’s working on developing a community vegetable garden program  to provide assistance to urban communities with the development of these gardens. The group has been officially in existence for five years and is led by organization's President Jason Zubler, who grew up in Hershey and attended Penn State. While he never considered himself a leader, his reading about sustainable living and the birth of his first child led him to organize a group to try and improve the Harrisburg community. As part of our Beyond the Bio series on people who’ve made significant contributions to the region, WITF's Joe Ulrich sat down to talk with Zubler about his life and work.
