(Lancaster) -- A woman from Lancaster County has been found guilty of stealing packages from front porches and doorsteps during the 2011 Christmas shopping season.

A judge last week found Patricia Ann Burnett of Manheim Township guilty of 16 counts of theft and 20 counts of receiving stolen property.

Police last year charged Burnett with stealing $6,000 worth of electronics, toys, tools, DVDs and books shortly after the packages were delivered to homes.

She denied the charges and said she purchased the items but had no receipts or other proof to back her claim.

Sentencing is scheduled for October 22.

Burnett is still awaiting trial on burglary and racketeering charges filed last month.

Police said she burglarized the homes of people she knew and sold their belongings at yard sales and online.
