(Lancaster) -- A Lancaster County funeral director charged with abusing corpses and stealing from clients has been hit with additional felony counts of theft and fraud when the case against him proceeds to county court.

42-year-old Benjamin Siar Junior is facing eight additional criminal counts to proceed without contest.

Siar was arrested February 1st after police discovered four decomposing bodies in the basement of Gundel Funeral Home in Conestoga.

Prosecutors say further investigation uncovered a scheme in which they say he pocketed more than $13,000 paid to him for funeral and cremation services that were never done.
