(Wrightsville) -- Fire has destroyed a municipal building containing dump trucks, mowers and other equipment in York County, but officials say the blaze is under control. One firefighter is hurt.

Authorities say the fire was reported around 8:00 a.m. today in Lower Windsor Township. Dozens of firefighters responded amid reports of multiple explosions. The blaze was under control by 10:30 a.m. and one firefighter had to be taken to the hospital, possibly due to heat exhaustion.

Lower Windsor Township Police Chief Tim Caldwell says the building and its contents are a complete loss. Workers saved two municipal trucks and lawnmowers that were in use at the time; but everything else, including dump trucks, lawnmowers and other trucks, was destroyed.

A fire marshal is investigating the cause.
