Three sinkholes discovered in Lebanon County community

(Schaefferstown) -- Heavy rains are being blamed for causing several sinkholes in a Lebanon County community.

So far this week, three sinkholes have been opened up in Heidelberg Township.

The ground only sank in areas where a new sewer line was recently installed, but it's not clear if the construction actually caused the problem.

The township says it knows about the sinkholes and crews have already started working to fill them.

None of the residents reported any major damage to their properties.
