(Bellefonte) -- A state prison in Centre County remains locked down a day after state police say an inmate sexually assaulted a female employee.

State police and the State Correctional Institution-Rockview aren't identifying either the inmate suspected in the attack or his victim.

Police say the woman was knocked unconscious in an unspecified area where she works in the prison during the incident yesterday about 9:00 a.m.

Prison officials locked down the institution aftereward and spokesman Jeff Rackovan says it remained locked down Friday.

Police are investigating the assault.
