(Lititz) -- Police are investigating a string of suspicious fires in Lancaster County, which may be related. There has been a series of serious fires in Lititz over the past several days. The first occurred on July 10th, when someone stuffed newspaper in a car's gas tank and lit it on fire.

On the 12th, two garbage cans were lit on fire in the same area. Just yesterday, police say someone lit an office chair on fire and put it in the middle of the street.

Sargent Kerry Nye says damage was minimal in all four cases, but that investigators believe they may be related. He says authorities are concerned because fires like these tend to get worse over time.
