(York) -- A Play Streets event is coming to South Lehman Street, between King and Edison streets, in York City today.

The street will be closed to traffic and opened for family-friendly activities -- including the York Water Company's water splash station, which organizers expect to be well received at the conclusion of the hottest week of the year.

The Play Streets event is happening from noon – 4pm along Albemarle Park.

The Partnership for a Healthier America initiative is designed to encourage physical activity, especially in areas with limited open space.
