(Gettysburg) -- Police say two people are in custody after a car crashed into a house in a Gettysburg neighborhood.

Police in the borough commemorating the 150th anniversary of the Battle of Gettysburg said an Independence Day parade scheduled for Wednesday evening was cancelled.

Officials said it was due to a lack of manpower, and not public safety concerns.

Authorities say a woman inside the house was taken to a hospital with lacerations.

Photographs show nearly half of the car breached the brick house.

Police say one man was arrested at the scene, but a second fled on foot.

Roads were shut down and Gettysburg Hospital was on lockdown as police looked for the suspect, who was arrested a short time later.

Thousands of visitors are in Gettysburg for anniversary week events.
