(Harrisburg) -- Pennsylvania is directly in the path of a major weather system that could dump significant rain, bring hail and cause flooding.

The Pennsylvania Emergency Management Agency says they are monitoring the coming storm, adding a worker at the emergency operations center in Harrisburg and making sure two National Guard helicopters are on standby if needed for water rescue.

National Weather Service meteorologist Kevin Fitzgerald in State College says the entire state is under a flood watch for high waters overnight and through the day tomorrow.

He says the greatest risk of flooding is in the northern portion of the state, while the worst thunderstorms are expected in southern areas of Pennsylvania.
