(Harrisburg) -- Governor Corbett is reiterating that he wants a liquor privatization bill on his desk before July, although he says he can be flexible about details.

The Republican governor held a brief news conference in the Capitol, today, at which he said he wants a privatization bill out of the Senate that's ``close enough'' that he can then engage in final negotiations with senators and the state House. He says his ``ears are open'' and that his administration ``will listen to everything.''

The House has passed a privatization bill, and a leading state senator's proposal is expected to be released next week. A sticking point could be whether the state sells off its wholesale operations. Corbett says he thinks that's in the state's best interests.
