(Harrisburg) -- Dauphin County's Wildwood Park will be closed this weekend as crews monitor cleanup from last week's fuel spill.

The crash of a tanker truck at Interstate 81 and Routes 22/322 in Susquehanna Township spilled some two-thousand gallons of diesel fuel into Paxton Creek and Wildwood Lake.

County leaders say about 10 of the park's 200 acres have been affected by the spill.

Crews monitoring the environmental impact of the spill that killed at least 11 birds, say they will reassess reopening the park on Monday.

Programs scheduled for this weekend have been postponed or relocated.
