(Harrisburg) -- State police investigated crashes that killed 13 people and injured 245 over the long Memorial Day weekend.

The number of fatalities matched last year's total.

State police say they responded to a total of 760 crashes on Pennsylvania roadways between Friday and Monday. Eighty-five of the accidents, and five of the fatal crashes, involved alcohol.

Troopers made nearly 440 drunken driving arrests and issued nearly 10,000 speeding tickets.
