(Pottsville) -- Authorities have identified the four children and two adults killed in a Schuylkill County house fire. A neighbor says the children's mother was doing laundry down the street at her house at the time and survived.

The blaze broke out just before midnight last night at the home in Pottsville.

The Schuylkill County Coroner's office has identified the victims as 30-year-old Eric Brown; and his children, 2-year-old Elijah Brown; 3-year-old Emily Brown; 7-year-old Jeremiah Brown; and 8-year-old Joy Brown.

Twenty-six-year-year-old Kristina Thomas also died. She's the sister of 28-year-old Kelly Brown, the children’s mother.

A neighbor says Kelly Brown was doing laundry at her house because her washing machine was broken. They saw smoke and ran to Brown's house, but were unable to rescue the victims.
