(Lemoyne) -- Police in Cumberland County have cited two children for allegedly pointing a toy gun at passing cars.

West Shore Regional Police say it happened in Lemoyne around 6:30 p.m. Monday.

Police say the 12-year-old girl and 11-year-old boy pointed the plastic gun as cars that were slowing and stopping.

Investigators say the children were later found walking in nearby Wormleysburg after someone called police to report the incident.

The children have been cited for disorderly conduct.

Their names have not been released.

How is this news? Nobody was injured, cars just drove unharmed, and kids will be kids. Unless people seriously thought that these 2 children were really walking around toting a real gun… I just hope that they were given a good scare and that was the end of it. If we are going to go around charging all the little children for demeanours, then I have no idea what kind of world we are coming to.
