(Carlisle) -- The Army Garrison at Carlisle Barracks is getting a new commanding officer today.

Lt. Col. Kimberly Peeples will take over at a ceremony this morning.

Peeples most recently was a program manager at the White House Military Office in Washington, DC.

She replaces Lt. Col. William McDonough, who has served in the position since July 2011.

He's being deployed to Afghanistan.

Garrison commanders at Carlisle Barracks provide support to the Army War College and other organizations, as well as residents living on the post.

This is really good for everyone. This will make sure the responsibilities are fulfilled in every angle the since the introduction of additional monitoring facilities throughout the military structure from the government. Or you could call it the work of a spy agency!!!
