(York) -- Honeywell plans to close a plant in eastern Pennsylvania by the first quarter of next year, idling more than 100 workers.

The Honeywell Process Solutions plant in York makes products used in the natural gas industry.

The company specializes in energy efficiency products.

A company statement says the work at the plant will be redistributed to other locations and that workers will be able to apply for other jobs with Honeywell.

The company plans to close the plant in the first quarter of 2014.
