(Loganville) -- A funeral and procession are taking place Friday for a fire chief killed by a drunk driver while he was directing traffic at an accident scene in York County.

Loganville Fire Chief Rodney Miller was struck and killed while directing traffic last Saturday on Interstate 83.

Funeral services for Miller are set to be held at Grace Fellowship Church in York.

Southwestern Regional Police are urging motorists to use alternative routes when possible and to use extra caution if they must travel through the area.

The procession, which will include a large number of fire vehicles and equipment, could close roads and cause traffic jams this morning.

32-year-old Matthew Diehl has been charged with homicide by vehicle and driving under the influence.

Governor Corbett has ordered all Pennsylvania flags at the state capitol complex and state facilities in York County lowered to half-staff until Friday -- the day Miller's funeral.
