(Carlisle) -- A coroner has determined an 82-year-old woman who died at a Cumberland County hospital in February was strangled to death with a cord in her bed.
The suspicious death was reported at Holy Spirit Hospital in East Pennsboro Township on February 28.
County Coroner Charles Hall says an investigation has determined the woman had an oxygen and blood pressure cord wrapped around her neck and a pillow on her face.
Hall says the cause of death is strangulation, but authorities don't know if it was suicide or something else. The woman's name hasn't been released.
Authorities say hospital staff found nothing unusual when they checked on the woman at 3:00 a.m., but found her dead an hour and a half later. They tried to revive her, but were unsuccessful.
