(Undated) -- A hydraulic cylinder manufacturer plans to open a new facility in Chambersburg, creating 74 jobs in the process.

It will be Wipro Infrastructure Engineering's first U.S. based manufacturing plant.

The company is a major supplier to Volvo Construction Equipment, which is also located in Franklin County.

Recently, Volvo CE has relocated its North American headquarters to its Shippensburg campus, which now serves as the company’s only production facility in North America.

The Wipro project was announced by Governor Corbett during his trade mission to Brazil and Chile in South America.

The three-city, two-country mission, funded by the Team Pennsylvania Foundation, runs through April 16th and will include stops in the Brazilian cities of São Paolo and Rio de Janeiro, along with Santiago, Chile.
