Navy supply center to undergo command change

(Norfolk, Va.) --The Navy's largest supply center is undergoing a change of command. 

Captain Kurt Waymire, who formerly served as chief of staff for Naval Supply Systems Command in Hampden Township, Cumberland County, is now the commanding officer of Naval Supply Systems Command Fleet Logistics Center.

The center provides logistical support for all Navy shore installations east of the Mississippi River and all Atlantic Fleet units.  

He will relieve Captain Michelle Skubic as the commanding officer of Naval Supply Systems Command Fleet Logistics Center.

Skubic has been in charge of the command since 2011.

During her tenure, she led a staff of more than 1,500 military and civilian personnel across 38 sites in 13 states.

Her next duty assignment will the post in which Waymire most recently served in the midstate.
