(Wernersville) -- An inmate who escaped from a corrections facility in Berks County has turned himself in at a prison in Lancaster County.

State Police say 28-year-old Ramon Antonio Beachy fled on foot from the Wernersville Community Correction Center while he was being escorted by a staff member Sunday. Police say he jumped over a railing on a flight of stairs, ran through a courtyard and climbed a fence to escape.

Trooper David Boehm says that the next day Beachy walked into the lobby of the Lancaster County Prison and turned himself in. Authorities say he's being held in that prison now, but is expected to be returned to a state facility.
