(Chambersburg) -- Federal investigators have detailed computer child pornography charges against a Franklin County high school Spanish teacher in meetings with his fellow teachers and parents.

The public defender for Jeffrey Schmutzler, of Fayetteville, has declined to comment on his arrest last month on charges that he used his home computer to superimpose students' faces on child porn images he collected.

Investigators at the Chambersburg Area School District say Schmutzler targeted only male students, and didn't store the images on his work computer. They also say he didn't distribute the images, but kept them to himself.

Prosecutors say Schmutzler wrote fake fantasy stories, and his home computer had four times the normal storage capacity and was filled with pornographic images.

Schmutzler remains jailed pending trial.
