(Lancaster) -- A retired general who resigned as commander of U.S. forces in Afghanistan in 2010 is scheduled to address the annual dinner of the Lancaster Chamber of Commerce & Industry in May.

The chamber says Gen. Stanley McChrystal will speak at the dinner on May 22.

As keynote speaker, he'll discuss leadership, teamwork and international affairs.

McChrystal says in a new book that he takes the blame for the Rolling Stone article, and the unflattering comments attributed to his staff about the Obama administration, that ended his Afghan command and army career.

He says the decision to resign in June 2010 was his own.

The book was published earlier this year.
