(Washington) -- The White House says Vice President Joe Biden will travel to Philadelphia next week to host a roundtable discussion on gun control.
Scheduled to join him on Monday are law enforcement officials, Deputy Attorney General James Cole and Democratic members of Pennsylvania's congressional delegation.
The Obama administration is pushing for new gun-control measures in the wake of the Newtown school shooting.
Poposals include a new ban on military-style semi-automatic rifles, a ban on high-capacity magazines carrying more than 10 rounds of ammunition, and background checks for all gun sales.
