Motorists should monitor weather forecasts and check road conditions before beginning any travel. Visit www.511PA.com or call 511 from any telephone for access to current conditions on more than 2,900 miles of roadway.
When traveling during a winter storm, drivers should adjust their speed to accommodate for changing weather conditions. Motorists shoud also beware of roads that may look wet but are actually frozen, often referred to as “black ice.”
Winter driving conditions require that motorists allow for a greater following distance between vehicles. Motorists are reminded to always buckle up.
