(Harrisburg) -- A community group is hoping to gather ideas for eliminating gun violence.
The community forum is organized by Harrisburg Hope and slated for 6 p.m. Wednesday at the Midtown Scholar Bookstore.
Democratic state Representative Patty Kim of Dauphin County and Democratic state Senator Daylin Leach of Montgomery County will be on a special discussion panel.
The group also includes Harrisburg Mayor Linda Thompson, city schools Superintendent Sybil Knight-Burney and Dauphin County prosecutor Fran Chardo.
The free event is in response to the December 14-th shooting of school children and educators in Newtown, Connecticut.
