Governor Corbett's lawsuit against the NCAA claims the institution viewed the Jerry Sandusky sexual assault scandal as an opportunity to enhance its reputation as an enforcer of tough sanctions, and that member schools supported the Penn State Sanctions in order to "weaken a fellow competitor" and "cripple Penn State's ability to maintain a nationally renowned football program."
