(Undated) --Police have arrested the man suspected of kidnapping a student at HACC's Harrisburg campus and then sexually assaulting her.

Clarence Shaffer was captured in Highspire, Dauphin County, after a search that lasted a little more than a day.

Authorities say he abducted the 18-year-old woman Monday morning and drove her to East Pennsboro Township, Cumberland County, where he sexually assaulted her.

Shaffer, who had just served a 14-year prison sentence, faces several charges, including simple assault, indecent assault and kidnapping.

HACC closed its Harrisburg campus today shortly before noon as police searched for Shaffer.

Classes are expected to resume tomorrow.
