(Harrisburg) -- The Harrisburg campus of HACC is closed today as police investigate the abduction of a student yesterday.
The campus located near the Farm Show Complex is closed, while HACC's facilities at Midtown, Campus Square, and Penn Center remain open today.
Public safety director Todd Crawleysays the school closed the facilities shortly before noon today as a precaution and to help with the investigation.
He said the decision was made by the school administration at the request of city police.
Police have identified a suspect in the abduction of the 18-year-old woman as she parked her car on a campus lot early Monday.
Authorities said the man held her at gunpoint and tried to sexually assault her. That's when she fled and got help at a home in Enola, several miles from campus.
Harrisburg police say they have identified the suspect, and are searching for him.
Classes are expected to resume tomorrow.
