(Harrisburg) -- Death-row killer Hubert Michael's options for staying alive are running out.
The state Pardons Board has unanimously voted not to grant clemency to the 56-year-old Michael, who pleaded guilty to the July 1993 murder of
16-year-old Trista Elizabeth Eng, after kidnapping her in York County.
He's slated to be executed Thursday.
The 4-0 vote climaxed a hearing at which Michael's lawyers said he suffers from mental problems that cloud his judgment.
Tearful relatives and friends of the victim called him a cold-blooded killer.
Also federal judges have rejected both of Michael's requests for a stay.
U.S. District Judges John Jones and Yvette Kane have turned down the request in separate cases.
