(Harrisburg) -- The commonwealth has the fifth-largest population of caregivers to the elderly in the U.S. To help them in their work, the state Department of Aging is launching a new webinar series as part of National Family Caregivers month.
Aging Secretary Brian Duke says the segments, which begin next week, will address a wide range of issues. "This first one will focus on the role of family caregiver, and how they can navigate that role successfully. Other roles will include legal counsel, advocacy, and other information that will be helpful to the family caregiver as they deliver care on a day-to-day basis."
Duke says the webinars will be available through the agency's website and can be archived and accessed when it's convenient for caregivers.
Information about how to sign up for the webinars can be found on the Department's website.
