PennDOT has created a new series of license plates for veterans that can be ordered online.

Spokeswoman Jan McKnight says the plates honor veterans who've received a variety of awards. "The new plates that we offer are for the Distinguished Service Cross, the Distinguished Flying Cross, the Navy Cross, Air Force Cross, Silver Star, Bronze Star for Valor, and Bronze Star."

McKnight says PennDOT already offers special plates for active duty and reserve military personnel, and veterans of major conflicts.

The new plates range in price from $10 to $20.

More information about purchasing the plates can be found here.
