(Harrisburg) -- State gambling regulators say they have received six applications for the second casino license in Philadelphia.
The Gaming Control Board has announced the list, a day after the deadline.
The license permits a casino with up to five-thousand slot machines and 250 table games.
Philadelphia has had SugarHouse Casino up and running since September 2010.
The groups applying for the second Philadelphia license include Wynn Resorts, the company run by casino magnate Steve Wynn.
Three groups submitted proposals for casinos in south Philadelphia, not far from the sports stadiums.
A sixth group plans a casino downtown.
