(Harrisburg) -- Governor Corbett and first lady Susan Corbett will be serving turkey on Thanksgiving before they have their own.
The governor's office says Corbett and his wife will help serve a Thanksgiving meal this evening at a Lancaster homeless shelter.
The Water Street Mission serves a Thanksgiving banquet every year. This year, Keith Shetter of Water Street Ministries says he expects about 400 people to come to the mission to eat.
Shetter says Water Street Ministries also handed out more than 1,200 boxed Thanksgiving meals to families who otherwise could not provide a meal. He says the mission received at least 1,200 donated turkeys as part of its holiday food drive.
