(Undated) -- The campaigns of Republican Mitt Romney and President Obama are launching statewide advertising campaigns in Pennsylvania, a traditional battleground that's been ignored until lately.
A new Romney ad shows footage of him chastising Mister Obama at a debate over the president's policies toward coal.
Two Obama ads set to run in the state include one where the president attacks Romney's tax plans as favoring the wealthy over the middle class.
This is the first time Romney's campaign has spent money on T-V ads in Pennsylvania since April.
The Obama campaign and pro-Romney groups spent millions of dollars over the summer on TV ads in the commonwealth.
They largely disappeared in August amid polling that persistently favored Mister Obama.
