The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation has reopened the southbound “express lane” on the Interstate 81 George Wade Memorial Bridge over the Susquehanna River between Dauphin and Cumberland counties.
As a safety precaution yesterday, PennDOT closed two express lanes, including the one on I-81 and the westbound express lane on the Route 30 Wrights-Ferry Bridge over the Susquehanna River between Lancaster and York counties.
The express lanes are part of the construction projects currently underway on both bridges. The closing of the westbound express lane on Route 30 still provides one lane for westbound traffic over the bridge; it is expected to be re-opened by 2 p.m. today, unless weather conditions would change.
