(Annville) -- Governor Corbett is set to attend a ceremony at Fort Indiantown Gap later today honoring more than 1,500 members of the Pennsylvania National Guard who are scheduled to deploy to Kuwait next year.![]()
The 55th Heavy Brigade Combat Team, which is based in Scranton but has units throughout the eastern part of the commonwealth, will perform security operations overseas.
It's first set to conduct training at Camp Shelby in Mississippi before deploying.
The ceremony, which will also be attended by senior members of the Guard, will take place at 2pm at the base's west parade field in Annville, Lebanon County.
