Jim took early retirement from a job in financial services to hike the entire Appalachian Trail in 2007. Since then he's spent much of his time with hiking and trail maintaining organizations, as well as doing some domestic and international travel with a hiking theme. Jim is currently President of the Cumberland Valley Appalachian Trail Club and an active volunteer with the Appalachian trail Museum. In addition to hiking the entire Appalachian Trail, Jim has hiked the John Muir Trail in the High Sierras of California: The Long Trail in Vermont: two prominent trails in New Zealand, the Milford Track and the Queen Charlotte Track; the "W" Trail in Chile and he climbed Mt. Kilimanjaro in Africa.
