WITF will mark the 40th anniversary of Shippensburg University's FESTIVAL CELEBRATION series with

WITF PRESENTS: LIVE AT LUHRS

In honor of the 40^thanniversary of Shippensburg University’s Festival Celebration series, WITF-TV will broadcast, WITF Presents: Live at Luhrs on Sunday, August 16^th at 6 p.m.

The hour and a half concert was recorded at the university’s H. Ric Luhrs Performing Arts Center and features solo artists mezzo-soprano vocalist Federica Von Stade and violinist Joshua Bell, along with the Festival Orchestra and the Festival Chamber Chorus.  Conductors include: Stuart Malina and Blaine Shover who is also the Artistic Director of the Festival.

Under the direction of STUART MALINA, The Festival Orchestra performs TCHAIKOVSKY’S SYMPHONY NO. 5.     FREDERICA von Stade, along with The Festival Orchestra and Choir, perform JOHANNES BRAHMS ALTO RHAPSODY.    Blaine Shover Conducts.     Under the direction of Stuart Malina, JOSHUA BELL and The Festival Orchestra PERFORM VIOLIN CONCERTO NO. 1 BY MAX BRUCH.
