Wine Tip Tuesday: The New Rules of Wine

For years most sommeliers, all wine enthusiasts and chefs, have been working hard to help demystify that air of mystique that tends to cloak the idea of wine.  Somewhere in time wine became difficult to understand.  We were all left in the dark trying to figure out labels, regions, vintages and whether spending $2 or $200 was worth it.  Well, fear no more.  The gutsy writer’s at GQ Magazine online have written the new rules of wine, wine pairing, and wine buying for all of us.  So straightforward, they’ve probably given voice to at least a few of those random thoughts you’ve had as you’ve tried to navigate those confusing-liquor board controlled-wine aisles in our state stores.  My take?  This is a quick, smart read that will translate into a lot more confidence and a new understanding, if not approach, to wine.
