Ten Warning Signs of Poor Health

Most people consider themselves healthy only until they have a serious problem or need to go to the hospital. Other than that, as long as nothing is wrong, the person considers themselves healthy. But is that really the case? Health is something relative and can be measured to a certain degree. Although you might be feeling relatively well and don't have major complaints, there might be some subtle signs that there are some problems with your health that you might need to pay attention to. 

Fatigue 

If you are getting a decent amount of sleep which is about eight hours each night and still feel tired, there may be something else that is making you tired. A poor diet can also contribute to constant fatigue as well as cigarettes, alcohol and processed foods. Stress can also exhaust you, so living a balanced diet might help out with such conditions. If the reason is not one of these, get a blood check to make sure that you do not have some essential element missing. 

Low Libido

Low libido can be caused by many things including stress and other exhausting life events. Having a libido is natural to a human being in order to reproduce and lacking it can mean that there is something else that hinders it. Hormonal imbalances, menopause, aging, taking birth control pills, anxiety, and depression can all lead to low libido. 

Bad Sleep

High cortisol levels are noticed when the body is under stress. When these are high the sleep becomes uncomfortable and there is a lot of tossing and turning during the night. Being deprived of a good sleep for a prolonged period of time can weaken the immune system and make you more susceptible to disease. 

Anxiety 

Anxiety is an emotional nervous state of worrying and unease. It can be directly correlated to the condition of your health. A hormonal imbalance could easily trigger such a state in the body. Insufficient amounts of thyroid hormone or hypothyroidism can also cause anxiety. 

Dark Yellow Urine

Hydration is very important for good health. When the body does not receive enough water, the urine becomes darker resembling an amber color. If this happens, water should be drunk in bigger quantities. Sodas, coffee, and alcohol are all dehydrating and can't help in the case of dehydration. 

Snoring 

Snoring can be an early sign of some conditions. Sleep apnea can follow or come together with snoring. This is a condition in which the air pathways can be obstructed and the air is limited. This can lead to hypertension and heart failure in the long run. 

Bowel Movement

A healthy bowel movement occurs every time after you have a meal. Having regular bowel movements removes the toxins and old food from the digestive tract to make room for new nutrition to be absorbed. When you are constipated, toxins can enter the organism and cause inflammation to the whole body. 

Blood Sugar Levels

Your blood sugar levels fluctuate throughout the day depending on what and how much has food being consumed. A blood glucose levels chart should be made throughout the day to monitor if blood sugar levels are in their normal range. Big changes in blood sugar levels can increase the risk of a diabetes-related condition. 

Lip Cracks

Cracked lips, especially at the corners of the mouth, can signal a lack of B vitamins in the body. This can predispose you to anemia and other disorders. Taking enough vitamin B-12 supplements is also extremely important in improving health and preventing diseases. 

Itch 

Excessive itchiness can show not only problems with the skin but also problems with your liver or kidneys. When the kidneys and liver are not filtrating properly, toxins can try to exit the body via the skin and cause an itch. 

Constantly Catching a Cold or a Flu

Viruses and bacteria are all around us. A healthy individual can fight off the pathogens for the most part. When one is constantly getting sick, it could be the sign of a compromised immune system. Having a strong immunity can help prevent not only colds and flu but also more serious diseases like cancer. 

In case you are not sure about your health condition and still have a normal running organism, keep in mind these things and watch out for them coming up. If more than one of these symptoms comes up there is a good chance that your body needs some extra care to be taken care of it in order to rule out any underlying conditions.
