Linda Chavey writes about how to change your lifestyle habits in order to eliminate debt.
Be careful who you take advice from when it comes to financial information.
Credit card companies, banks and other lending institutions publish information on their websites and also send emails with information that looks to be informative. I find that most of this informaiton is swayed in favor of the lender for consolidation loans or other "we'll help you get out of debt" solutions.
Look for articles that are published by non-profit agencies such as Debor's Anonymous and Consumer Credit Counseling. There is a wealth of information on the internet about debt that is not published by credit card companies. People that have dug themselves out of debt are also excellent sources of information.
If you have credit card debt, try to pay it off as quickly as possible. Never roll credit card debt into a mortgage.
Always look at the source of debt information as it can be extremely misleading.
