Eating vegetarian at Cheesecake Factory

Obviously Cheesecake Factory is not a regional specialty restaurant here in Central PA, but it is one of those ubiquitous special occasion restaurants where you might find yourself meeting friends and family from time to time. As long as I've been familiar with the restaurant chain, they've had delicious salads.

 After an absence of a couple of years, we recently ate at Cheesecake Factory on a family vacation and I looked once again for my favorite salad - the "French Country Salad."  I was pleased to discover that the restaurant now has a menu with items that contain fewer calories and that my salad was listed on it: "mixed greens, grilled asparagus, fresh beets, goat cheese, candied pecans and vinaigrette."

This salad contains almost all of my favorite salad ingredients, and they are so flavorful together that you can almost make it out of the restaurant without eating any cheesecake.  Of course as soon as they show me that menu I inevitably ask my husband if he wants to share a piece!
