Among those who enjoy early music, soprano Julianne Baird is a superstar. Noted for her vocal facility and beauty of tone, she also has an extensive knowledge of period performance practices and a PhD in Music History. On March 25 she performs "mad songs" of Henry Purcell with harpsichordist John Bailey, alongside period readings from the famous Bedlam Asylum narrated by Edward Mauger.
