2016 Prairie Home Companion Bus Trip

Written by Fred Vigeant, Director of Programming and Promotions for TV and Radio | Mar 23, 2016 5:55 AM

Garrison Keillor has announced he is retiring as host of A Prairie Home Companion, the weekly variety show heard on WITF 89.5 & 93.3, at the end of the current season which ends July 1, 2016.

He has already taken the final bow at the Fitzgerald Theater, the home base for the show.

Garrison is now on the road with his team of musicians and performers for one last trip with A Prairie Home Companion across the country.  His trek around the country includes some of the usual stops for the show including Town Hall in New York City, Tanglewood in Massachusetts, and Wolf Trap's Filene Center in Vienna, VA

You have the opportunity to join WITF for one last trip to see the live broadcast of A Prairie Home Companion at Wolf Trap.

For a contribution of 365 dollars, you'll enjoy a bus trip to Wolf Trap's Filene Center, Saturday May 28th, a pair of tickets to the show, plus a boxed lunch.

You'll arrive at Wolf Trap a few hours ahead of the broadcast to enjoy the beautiful scenery of the only National Park dedicated to the Performing Arts with time to relax, enjoy a picnic, and perhaps a chance to meet Garrison Keillor.  See photos from previous trips in 2013, 2014, and 2015.
